"Mrs. Gray’s legacy is one of patience and encouragement.
Whether she’s teaching, listening, helping, or simply offering a kind word, Mrs. Gray is always lifting up a student. Her positive energy radiates through the hallways and classrooms, making every space brighter and every student feel seen.
She plays an important role in each student’s day, and her presence is deeply felt. Without her, our school wouldn’t be the same.
Mrs. Gray makes a true impact every single day."
Thank you, Mrs. Gray, for the legacy of love and support you continue to build. 🍎

We’re excited to offer 24/7 on-demand tutoring to all Coweta Public Schools students in grades 4–12. Whether it’s homework help, test prep, or just a little extra support, students can access this incredible resource anytime through their school-issued Chromebook.

"Lesley Payne is a tireless worker and a genuinely great human being. Splitting her time between Heritage and Mission, she serves as the librarian with unwavering dedication and heart.
Her organization, strong sense of responsibility, and the respect she shows to everyone around her shine through in all she does. Whether it’s helping a student find the perfect book or supporting staff with a smile, Lesley’s commitment is visible to all who have the privilege of working alongside her."
We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she makes in our schools and the legacy she continues to build every day.

🟠 Full Circle Friday | Rhonda Gilbert
Why did you choose to come back to work at Coweta Public Schools?
"I love my hometown, and the atmosphere here is very different from bigger cities. Coweta has a heart that feels like home."
If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would it be?
"Quit worrying about your outward appearance — whether your jeans were baggy or wet from early band practice — and enjoy each day to the fullest!"
Who left a legacy for you during your time as a student at CPS?
"I loved almost all of my teachers, but the ones who truly stood out were Dian Manry (Middle School), Toler and Bear (Band), Mary Ann Meek (5th Grade), and Paula Halfast-Brown (Spanish). They each made a lasting impact on my life."
Mrs. Gilbert’s story is a beautiful reminder that the people and places that shape us often call us back. #FullCircleFriday

Mass Notification Test – Friday, October 10 at 6:00 PM
Coweta Public Schools will be conducting a district-wide mass notification test on Friday, October 10 at 6:00 PM.
The purpose of this test is to ensure we have the correct names and contact information for our students, families, and staff. These notifications are an important tool for keeping you informed during both emergencies and important non-emergency events.
If you do not receive the test notification, please contact your school office to update your information.
Thank you for taking the time to help us confirm our system is working. Your partnership allows us to keep our community connected, informed, and safe.

Due to the varying schedules across our school sites—including lunch, recess, and passing periods—our district will observe the moment of silence during our regularly scheduled time, as required by state law.
This approach ensures a respectful and quiet environment for student reflection without disrupting the instructional day.
As always, students are free to reflect on any topic of personal significance, including recent tragedies in our country. We will support their right to do so, but we will not direct or suggest the focus of their reflection.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff.
School will be in session as usual tomorrow. In response to the boil water advisory, we’ve taken extra precautions:
✅ Water fountains will be shut down
✅ Food prep will follow safety guidelines — using boiled or bottled water
✅ Bottled water will be available at each site for students who cannot bring their own
This decision was made with care and caution. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.
We are pleased to announce the availability of a voluntary device insurance for district-owned student devices. The optional insurance plan covers the cost of repairs, damage, or loss/theft of student devices. The annual cost to insure a device is either $25 or $30, depending on the coverage type. Families will enroll and pay directly through our approved vendor, https://schooldevicecoverage.com. Open enrollment ends October 31st.

"Jennie Bell is a constant source of support for our students—whether they need someone to talk to, help with scheduling and online classes, or guidance through more serious challenges. Her positivity and willingness to help in any way make a lasting impact. Our students are lucky to have her in their corner!"
Thank you, Mrs. Bell for Leaving a Legacy with our students!
