Why did you choose to come back to work at Coweta Public Schools?
It’s my hometown.
If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would it be?
All kids can learn.
Who left a legacy for you during your time as a CPS student?
Ms. Rutherford.

🌟 Full Circle Friday Spotlight 🌟
Why did you choose to come back to work at Coweta Public Schools?
My teachers at Coweta showed me what teaching was truly about and shaped my entire view of education. I was honored to return home and teach alongside many of the same teachers who inspired me.
If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would it be?
Chase after your dreams—not the dreams the world tries to convince you that you should have.
Who left a legacy for you during your time as a CPS student?
Mrs. Elliott went out of her way to help me with dozens of scholarship essays. The final line of many of those essays was inspired entirely by her:
“A teacher’s profound influence may never be fully known, but unlike fleeting fame and wealth, it is immortal.”

Why did you choose to come back to work at Coweta Public Schools?
"My family has lived in Coweta for many generations. My grandpa even attended a schoolhouse here. Nearly all of my family members have their photos hanging on the walls of our High School cafeteria. Coweta is my home, and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. Our teachers and staff feel like family—it’s such a special, fun, and supportive place to work."
If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would it be?
"Slow down. Practice and protect your inner peace."
Who left a legacy for you during your time as a CPS student?
"So many teachers helped shape who I am today.
Mr. Kern made everybody feel like somebody—he was always singing, telling jokes, and full of joy.
Mr. Clark, Mrs. Self, Mr. Wilson, Coach Gee—I loved practicing archery and exploring the outdoor classroom.
Mrs. Whiteley, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Burress, and Mrs. Waller also created a safe, loving environment where I always felt cared for. I’m truly grateful for each of them and the legacy they left in my life."
